Cargo Terminal
DIA Cargo Terminal is an expansion of the Departure Terminal PMS located around 1km away. The facility’s five (5) meter width entry and exit were each equipped with:
- 5 meter width gate barriers, vehicle detection loops, and traffic lights
- Entry & exit devices including long range RFID readers, transponder card readers, and ticket dispensers.
- Cashier Booth
- Parking Mode ANPR lanes – equ ipped with Qatar’s first ANPR System with lane coverage of up to 5 meters.
- Fixed Overview Cameras for vehicle access surveillance
- Mega Pixel (high resolution) Cameras at the teller booth areas that captures vehicle driver images
Wireless IP Based Communications System connects all the system components at the Cargo Terminal to the main control room of the DIA located approximately 1 km away.
The Pearl – Doha, Qatar
Project Description
Design, Supply, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Parking Management & External Guidance System at three (3) districts of The Pearl – Qatar. Traffic Tech completed the project at the district of Porto Arabia in 2010 and has been awarded two (2) new contracts for the districts of Medina Centrale and Qanat Quartier.
Upon completion of the project at all three districts, parking systems at Porto Arabia, Medina Centrale and Qanat Quartier will be interfaced with The Pearl – Qatar’s island-wide Operational Command and Control Center (OCCC) for centralized operation.

City Center Mall - Doha, Qatar
Project Description
The City Center Mall is situated in the middle of Doha’s central business district and surrounded by high rise buildings, many of which have limited parking space. Tenants and visitors from nearby establishments used to park their vehicles at the mall’s free parking facility causing day-to-day congestion problem, a burden shoppers dealt with in the past.
To alleviate the problem, the City Center Mall introduced paid parking and has implemented a complete Parking Management & Guidance System on its parking facility. The move was seen as a solution to ease congestion and bring greater benefits to the mall’s customers.
Traffic Tech (Gulf) executed the design, installation and commissioning of the system.

Design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Parking & Valet Management System at the Courtyard Marriott & Renaissance Hotel, Doha City Center.
The project comprises of several integrated systems including:
- Hotel Valet Parking System (HVPS) – including necessary software, licenses, workstation and all other required accessories such as ticket dispenser and barcode scanner at the hotel’s main entrance.
- Vehicle Counting System – LED signs showing real-time occupancy/availability of parking spaces
- Access Control System – including barriers, long range & short range readers.
- 12 ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), Road blockes, rising bollards, tire killers and speed humps.
- Programming and Management Platform – All of the integrated systems are managed and controlled into one management platform.
Locations & Parking Areas:
- Ground Floor – main access / egress point for the Hotel, Executive Apartment and Office Floors into the building with dedicated vehicle drop off/pick-up zones for guests to use the HVPS.
- Basement 2 & 3 (Parking Slots – 270) – Dedicated for hotel guests with exclusive authorized access / egress for HVPS.
- Level 3 (Parking Slots – 102) – Dedicated for the Executive Apartment residents with self access / egress including authorized access for HVPS.
