SmartTraffic is an AI-enabled Traffic Management and Monitoring System designed to enhance roadway visibility, safety, and operational efficiency through a centralized and intelligent platform. It integrates high-performance ANPR cameras deployed across The Pearl-Qatar and key access points for accurate vehicle identification under high-speed and challenging conditions, along with an advanced video analytics platform that converts CCTV cameras into AI-powered sensors capable of detecting traffic events such as congestion, wrong-way driving, stopped vehicles, and vehicle classification. The system provides comprehensive operational insight through interactive dashboards, KPIs, detailed reporting, advanced analytics, and geospatial visualization via Google Maps, enabling stakeholders to make timely and informed decisions. It supports both smart and conventional cameras, complies with Ministry of Interior – Qatar requirements including National ANPR integration, and is tailored to meet the operational needs of UDC while remaining scalable for future smart city expansion.

DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, ENGINEERING AND IMPLEMENATION OF NATIONAL AUTOMATIC NUMBER PLATE RECOGNITION SYSTEM

MOI-NAS is deployed nationwide and is designed to receive ANPR data from diverse sources across Qatar, including highways, shopping malls, residential compounds, ports, and commercial areas. It offers multiple integration interfaces, enabling seamless connectivity with various ANPR systems used throughout the country. The platform is fully integrated with national vehicle information and traffic violation databases, with thousands of cameras and multiple ANPR providers already connected.

MOI-NAS generates real-time alerts by analyzing data from multiple sources and is built on a high-availability, failover architecture that ensures it is:

The TTG Smart ANPR System is deployed across all main entry and exit points of Hamad Port, including internal gates and road networks, with approximately 140 ANPR cameras ensuring comprehensive vehicle coverage. The system is seamlessly integrated with the Gate Access System and the central PSIM platform to enable efficient vehicle monitoring, automated access control, and enhanced security coordination. Designed for reliability and performance, the solution operates across primary and secondary data centers, providing full redundancy and a high-availability failover environment. It is also integrated with the MOI National ANPR System (MOI-NAS) to support centralized data exchange and ensure compliance with national security requirements.

Project Description

SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF ANPR SYSTEM INTEGRATED WITH CAR PARKING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND VALET PARKING.

The project covers the supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of an integrated ANPR, Parking Management System (PMS), and Valet Parking System (VPS) at Msheireb Downtown Doha. A total of 145 ANPR cameras are deployed to enable automated vehicle access control and real-time monitoring across the facility. The system authenticates vehicles and triggers gate operations for authorized access, while also capturing and logging vehicle movements in free-flow conditions. It generates real-time alerts for any flagged or suspicious vehicles, enhancing overall security. In addition, the VPS manages operations at two public valet zones, supported by dedicated software, tablet devices for transaction processing, barcode scanners, valet podiums, and key control workstations to ensure smooth and efficient valet services.
